Saturday 22 Breakfast at home, bring snacks for plane and possibly a lunch
Check in at Manchester Airport no later than 8:15 AM
Land in Vegas, - Bus pick up at Level 0 in airport, load bus, head for GCNP
30 Miles to Hoover Dam - Change from Pacific Time Zone to Mountain Time
Hoover Dam - Kingman 67 miles
Stop in Kingman to eat meal at fast food restaurant ETA 4:00 Local (6:00 Eastern)
On to Grand Canyon, 175 miles, drive time 2.5 - 3 hours
Depending on arrival time, visit Grand Canyon Rim for "first view" and sunset
Troop Vehicle picks up perishable foods and Mather Campground staples at store in Williams (1-1.5 hour lag time)
Troop Vehicle picks up equipment shipped to Grand Canyon Airport and brings to Mather Campground (1 hour lag time)
Troop eats meal or snack at one of the two Cafeterias at GCNP
Depending on arrival of Troop gear at Mather - eat first or set up camp
Crews headed into Canyon on Sunday, re-pack (perishable) food for trip (Henning & S. Bass crews)

Sunday 23 South Bass crew heads to trailhead, two vehicles and drivers needed - drop off crew, return to GCNP (designated drivers Harris & Perkins)
South Bass crew eats breakfast in camp, in route, or at trailhead (depending on weather)
Henning crew up early for Mather Camp breakfast and early morning start
Henning Crew heads for Yaki Point and trailhead, shuttle or private vehicle?
All other crews on Rim for day
Rim activities for the day (to be planned)
Search & Rescue Demonstration
GCNP Field Institute Demonstration
Sunset Bus Tour
Day hike Rim Trail
Tour various outlook points

Monday 24 Hermits crew up early for breakfast and early morning start
Hermits crew need transport to trail head, possibly two cars or by Canyon shuttle
Chaputt & Johnson crew, breakfast at Mather for early morning start
Chaputt & Johnson crew shuttle to Yaki Point, to head in
Horseshoe Mesa crew, breakfast at MatherCamp, can have a late morning start - need to head to Grandview Point for trailhead - two cars needed
Henning, Chaputt, & Johnson (overlap) camping in Bright Angel Campground this evening

Tuesday 25 All crews in Canyon
Henning & Johnson (overlap) camping in Indian Gardens

Wednesday 26 Henning & Johnson hike out of canyon at Bright Angel Lodge
Horseshoe Mesa hike out at Grandview point (should be picked up)
Food & Supplies needed to be purchased in Williams (65 Miles - 130 Round Trip) Need volunteer to help with supplies

Thursday 27

(last full day
at Canyon)

Hermit Crew hikes out, (should be picked up)
Day hikers (Henning, Horseshoe Mesa, and Johnson crews available) hike down Hermits Trail to Dripping Springs - meet Hermits Group coming out
"South Bass crew comes out, MUST have pick up - two vehicles needed - great day hike opportunity to Esplanade, meet S. Bass crew coming out, return to GCNP
Need two drivers (Henning & Perkins - with no more than 2-3 day hikers, depending on size of vehicle for taxi service."
Dinner planned as a group meal at Thunderbird Lodge, on rim, for sunset
All In-canyon gear needs to be packed away, except sleeping/tent equipment
All Camp gear needs to be packed for shipment back to NH, except gear needed for breakfast

Friday 28 9:00 Pick up by Bus for trip back to Las Vegas
Breakfast at Mather Campground
Break camp, all camping gear stored for flights back to NH - switch over to "travel bag" clothes, etc. for Las Vegas
Troop vehicle drops off gear for return shipment to NH
GCNP to Kingman 175 Miles
Lunch in Kingman, in route to Hoover Dam (67 miles)
Arrival in Hoover Dam for tour, no sooner than 3:00 PM
Estimated time at Hoover Dam, 1 1/2 hours
Travel to Las Vegas, approximately 1/2 hour
Check in at Circus Circus, locate rooms, clean up
Buffet Dinner at Circus Circus approximately 6:00 - 8:00
Adventure Dome / Arcade play time, open 6:00 - Midnight ($17/person- bring money)
Walking Tour of Las Vegas, various trips in length of 1/2 hour to 1.5 hours - conducted by groups, depending on interest

Saturday 29 Pick up by shuttle or bus company starting at 5:00 AM - head for Airport
Breakfast at Airport (bring money - or eat meal on plane)
Return all rented vehicles
Flight out at 6:50 AM - see flight schedule above
Back in NH by 4:15 Local Time
