WHAT: San Juan mountains of Colorado. Troop 19 will have several crews enjoying ½ million acres of high-altitude wilderness with hiking, camping, and exploring. We’ll enjoy 9 days and 8 nights exploring the untrammeled wilderness of the region, sweating over high mountain passes and many other activities in the area. The scouts that sign up will help to choose our itinerary from hiking, rafting, Mesa Verde and many other choices. You’ll share in planning the trip to make sure your high adventure experience is the best.
WHERE: Weminuche Wilderness in the San Juan mountains of southern Colorado including the surrounding areas and towns of Colorado.
WHEN: Summer of 2022.
Depart for Colorado: Friday, July 22, 2022
Arrive Home: Saturday July 30 / Sunday July 31
WHO: Any Scout active in the troop. We recommend at least 2 nd class by the time the trip starts. All ages welcome.
COST: We are budgeting approximately $1,200 per person. This will include airfare, lodging, food, some equipment, and activities.
